On to “Punta del Este”
The Designer Liliana Castellanos is packing suitcases to participate in “Punta del Este” Fashion Week (Uruguay).
Arachania Fashion Week will be held for the first time in Uruguay from the 19th until the 22nd of January. The promise is that this event will be held twice a year, in the summer in Punta del Este and in spring in Montevideo. The Conrad Hotel was chosen as the location for this first edition.
Liliana will present her collection on Wednesday 20th at 21:30 hrs. She will open with the famous Argentinian model Daniela Ursi. She will exhibit 20 outfits, a part of her recent summer line called “Amado Sur” (“Beloved South”); and a preview of her Autumn-Winter 2010-11 collection, based on the concept and inspiration of Marie-Antoinette “to a time when women absorbed an extreme femininity”, said the Designer born in the province of Tarija.
There will be notable Designer from Argentina, Brasil, Paraguay and Bolivia.
The event will provide models, hair & make-up, assistants, shoes, special guests amongst other things.
The ultra-feminine woman, in whom Castellanos inspired herself, will be captured in a catalogue with her garments, interpreted by the Bolivian top model and “Magnifica”, Andrea Herrera.
The production of the catalogue shall take place towards the end of January, directed by a group integrated by the photographer Pablo Manzoni, Gastón Serrano y Quito Velasco.
In this manner Liliana will commence 2010 with a good foot, stepping away towards new frontiers, and filling Bolivia with pride.
The predominant color is Mauve
“My designs in High-Fashion are inspired in the concept of the era of Marie-Antoinette, when women were absorbed in extreme feminity due to the tight fitting cuts combined with frills and materials that garnished a rich visual intensity. The predominant tonality is Mauve.”
